Why train with us?

We are a specialist college dedicated solely to training counsellors to the highest standards. We are proud of our highly experienced professional staff. Because we are small we are able to build supportive, individual relationships with our students.

We offer a three year BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling validated by Middlesex University. This programme was developed and is delivered and assessed by Matrix, and is awarded by and quality assured by Middlesex University. We underwent re-validation by Middlesex University in January 2018 and received five commendations for the quality of our course.

We follow the UKCP Standards for Education and Training. This means that on successful completion of the course it is possible (after having completed additional client hours) to gain UKCP Registration as a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor.

Our counselling training currently runs in Ipswich and Wymondham, Norfolk. We are moving all courses to Wymondham from September 2021 therefore those applying for the Ipswich course starting in September 2019 will study their final year in Wymondham. Please see the Our Course/Venue pages for more information.

“The integrative ethos of the course is really stimulating and I think that the encouragement from the tutors to be open and explore different theories and integrate these into a personal framework has been liberating.”

“Gaining my BSc with Matrix has enabled me to secure a post with Mind for the Wellbeing service. ...gaining this qualification has meant everything to me, as now my work is a pleasure which I am very privileged to have.”
